The Tontine Hotel is a beautiful period building built
by the same proprietors,
who also built the world famous Iron bridge in 1784.
Our small family run hotel offers seven bedrooms,
all of which are currently being refurbished,
most having stunning views of this landmark World Heritage Site.
Our restaurant 'The Architect' provides
a fine dining experience with a 'laid back' feel.
This delicious food is not only complimented by a great wine selection,
guests dining in our restaurant are also given stunning views of the bridge.
The restaurant team is led by our
Head Chef, Cameron Barden,
who continues to delight us with 'gourmet heaven'
in his delicious creations!

The Tontine Hotel is an elegant 18th century Georgian building and was especially designed by the Architect, John Haycock, with visitors in mind to view the world famous first Iron Bridge.
Our lovely hotel offers seven comfortable bedrooms, all en-suite, with most offering direct landmark views of the bridge and surrounding area.
We have four double rooms, one king sized room and two large double rooms, which are either located on the first or second floor and due to the age of the building unfortunately there is no lift.
All have large flat screen TVs, tea & coffee making facilities and free WIFI, with some offering special luxuries and are available on request.
All you need for a relaxing break, a special trip or occasion or just a perfectly good night’s sleep!

One of the best Sunday Roast dinners in the Ironbridge gorge can be eaten here and you can enjoy your meal at one of our tables in the bar area.
However, booking is always advised, given its popularity!
The Architect Restaurant at the Tontine Hotel, is open for 'fine dining with a laid back feel!' You can also reserve a table in the restaurant if you prefer, for your Sunday lunch serving and sample the delights from our restaurant menu in The Architect!

Our welcoming bar and large seating area offers all types of refreshments, with an assortment of coffees and teas, wines, delicious craft beers, ales & ciders, plus a wide range of spirits.
Staff are really friendly & welcoming, the bar area has a relaxed atmosphere, so it is the ideal place to meet up with friends
and family.
We offer good quality, great tasting food along with the refreshments, which are great value for money! It is an excellent choice for travellers and offers a family friendly environment, plus amenities.
This area also welcomes our furry friends! With a bowl of water and some tasty gravy biscuits!
